All About Our Staff:

Susan Frisbee, Library Director

Susan began as director at the Cannon Library in 2018. She loves to facilitate connections between the people of our community by maintaining the library as a warm, open, welcoming space for all, with interesting programs, events and reading material.  When not in the library, Susan heads to her silversmithing studio to make one-of-a-kind jewelry and helps with what she can on the family’s farm. She enjoys reading plot-driven fiction and inspirational memoirs.

Lynn Dennis, Youth Services

A longtime library story time attendee, Lynn is excited to be sitting on the other side of the book as our youth services librarian. A former homeschool educator and teaching assistant, she looks forward to sharing her love of children’s literature with young readers. Lynn enjoys crafting, baking, poetry, hiking, biking, and spending time with her kids. She is grateful for the warm welcome by the library staff and patrons. Come and visit her in the children’s room for upcoming Storytimes and summer programs and grab your favorite books while you’re here!

JoAnn Antes, Library Clerk

JoAnn has been working for the Cannon Library since 2016.  JoAnn enjoys the different roles and responsibilities during her busy day as well as the diversity of patrons that visit the library. The most enjoyable part of her day is helping the patrons find that special book or movie that best fits their taste.  JoAnn is surrounded by co-workers who love their jobs and like to have fun while working hard, making it a positive environment.

Florence Grill, Library Clerk

Florence began working at the library in 1998 and has been an integral part of the library ever since.  She enjoys reading and crafting, but most of all spending time with her family. She particularly likes working at the library; talking to and working with patrons. She likes to read fiction, especially heartwarming stories about everyday people. You’ll find Florence tending the circuit collections, the magazines and newspapers, repairing books and giving you a big friendly smile as she helps you check out your books.

Marilyn “Lynn” Oles, Library Clerk

Lynn has worked for the Cannon Library since 1987.  Lynn recently retired from her position in the SUNY Delhi Athletic Department. She enjoys being around books, and as a people person, she enjoys her interacting with our patrons. The sees the library as a community center and she hopes you will stop by and say “Hello”.
