We would like to give tribute to the Stewart’s Shops/Dake Family for their recent generous donation to be used towards Phase 4 of the New Edmeston Free Library/Community Center renovation project!
Phase 4 consists of the downstairs ADA bathroom, the upstairs bathroom and the Lift to be used between the two floors.
The generosity of the Stewart’s Shops/Dake Family along with other foundations, business and community members is very appreciated!

The Edmeston Free Library (EFL) would like to acknowledge the Corning Incorporated Foundation for their generous 2019 and 2020 grants for the renovation of the “Rutherford House” – soon to be the new and updated EFL Library/Community Center.

The New York State Education Department/New York State Library has announced that the Edmeston Free Library’s application for the 2019-2020 State Aid for Library Construction Program has been approved!
With this recent approval of the phase three construction aid application we will be able to upgrade all of the electric, install hardwired smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, restore the front porch and install a new ADA ramp. All work is slated for completion late spring 2021!!!!
