Thank You! Prevention of fires and fire safety is important. In recognition of Fire Prevention month, the Edmeston Free Library Board, staff and volunteers would like to thank the members of the Fire Department, Emergency Squad and Fire Auxiliary for their dedicated time and service they give unselfishly to the community. The 2019 Phase I and Phase II renovations to the Corts residence have begun!

Edmeston Free Library has hired Simple Integrity, LLC to complete Phase I and Phase II of the Corts Renovation project.  This entails asbestos abatement, structural work (basement, floor 1, floor 2 and the belvedere) and roof replacement. The goal is to complete Phase I and Phase II work by 12/31/2019. A Tribute to Leon Schworm The Edmeston Free Library staff and Board of Trustees honor the memory of our colleague and friend Leon Schworm. Leon was an EFL Board member for 27 years; he served as the Board Secretary and Treasurer for a number of those years. Leon was also the Edmeston Museum Director and Edmeston Town Historian from 2009 through 2017. The Edmeston Free Library is working to become fully automated this year. Patrons will have access to the great resources of the Four County Library System (4CLS) including 1.5 million resources and many other materials. Furthermore, each member of the Edmeston Free Library will have the ability to use their card at any of the other 4CLS libraries.
