THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

The Edmeston Community Yard Sale was a tremendous success! We would like to thank the local businesses and individuals who donated baskets for the auction and baked goods for the bake sale. We would also like to thank all the community members for their support for our Library. A big thank you to Hoyt’s Hardware for selling hotdogs during the event and donating the proceeds to the library! All this would not have been possible without your support. We are sincerely grateful to the Edmeston Community! Thank you!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

The Edmeston Free Library (EFL) has been notified by the New York State Education Department/New York State Library that our library’s application for the 2021/2022 State Aid for Library Construction program has been approved! EFL would like to thank New York State Senator Peter Oberacker (51st Senate District) for his support of our ongoing construction project.

With the phase 5 approval of the construction aid we will be able to complete the wallpaper removal and skim coat the walls and ceilings, paint, install built in shelves, install new HVAC system, remove cafe chimney and replace cafe roof, and install new back deck.

Construction to be completed this fall includes the installation of new ADA bathrooms on 1st and second floors, wheelchair lift, update the upstairs bathroom into a utility room, installation of a new septic and parking area as well as sidewalk completion. The phase 6 construction aid application has been submitted and we are getting closer to making this dream a reality as this may potentially be the final phase before we move in!!!

We would also like to thank our wonderful community for your continued support, NYCM, NBT, Otsego Mutual Insurance, Thomas Frank Mullet Foundation, Community Foundation for South Central NY, Ben Snow Foundation, Price Chopper Golub Foundation, Stewarts Shops, Walmart Community Grants Team, Corning Foundation, A. Lindsay & Olive B. O’Connor Foundation, Assemblyman John Salka, and many other supporters. For a full list, click on the “New Library Community Center” tab above.
