LIBRARY RENOVATION PROGRESS REPORT
The completed work as of October 2021 includes the stabilization of the belvedere, roof (upper and porch) replacement, attic insulation, structural updates in the basement which include steel beams and support posts for codes requirements, porch renovation, addition of an outside ramp, required environmental study, asbestos abatement (found in the kitchen floor and upper parapet roofs), weatherization which includes custom built and installed storm windows and the furnace rehabilitation, barn chimney removal (for safety purposes) and the electrical upgrade which includes a new electrical service and Leviton main load center.

2022 SCHEDULE:
The following work is scheduled to be started mid-April, 2022 and completed by 12/31/2022.
- Septic
- Parking Lot
- Sidewalk, Curb and Front Steps
- ADA downstairs Bathroom
- Upstairs Half Bathroom
- Elevator to service both floors

2022-2023 (Phase 5):
Stripping the wallpaper, skimming all walls and ceilings, painting all walls, ceilings and trim work, restoration of flooring and installation of new floors in back rooms. A new HVAC system. Built-in bookcases will be installed after wall restoration.
The completion of this work is contingent on receiving the 2021 NYS Library Construction Grant (application sent 9/3/2021) and raising the additional necessary funds.
EFL’s goal is to move the library to the new location following completion of Phase 5 – end of 2023 or beginning of 2024.

Volunteers and Library Board Members have removed all carpets to save overall cost. We are now in the process of removing the wallpaper throughout the building.
