2020 – 2022 LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION AID HAS BEEN APPROVED!!!!

2020 – 2022 LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION AID HAS BEEN APPROVED!!!!

We are now passed the half-way point in the renovation of the Corts/Rutherford House!

Phase 4 consists of the installation of a first floor ADA compliant bathroom, second floor bathroom renovation, and installation of a wheelchair lift to service two floors.

This phase will be completed by the end of 2022 along with the new septic and parking area.

For an update on the entire project, please refer to the “New Library and Community Center” tab.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, our local library administrators and volunteers have faced new challenges and developed creative solutions to continue to safely serve the public. Libraries are historic landmarks in many cases and technology and accessibility upgrades can be costly. The state construction aid will help as communities make needed improvements to meet new and evolving needs.” – Senator Peter Oberacker

Pickles the EFL Koala

Pickles the EFL Koala

Just like other Koalas, our Pickles is not a bear, he is a nocturnal marsupial.  Koalas spend up to 18 hours per day sleeping in forks or nooks of trees.  We find Pickles sleeping on the book shelves all the time!!

Thank you to everyone that suggested a name for our Koala!

Stop by and see Pickles at the Edmeston Free Library!
