We are excited to announce our next art exhibition at the Edmeston Free Library featuring the members of the Leatherstocking Brush and Palette Club!
 
Join us for an opening reception to meet the artists, check out their work and enjoy refreshments.

EFL Children’s Room Fundraiser

EFL Children’s Room Fundraiser

Today, we are officially launching our EFL Children’s Book Fundraiser!
 
In 2025, we moved to the beautifully renovated Corts House on East Street. This move substantially increased the size of our Children’s Room as well as the number of children who visit to take out books!
Children’s books are crucial for child development, building language and literacy skills, fostering empathy and social-emotional understanding, and sparking imagination and creativity.
 
Our goal with this fundraiser is to stock our selves with new books that will give our tiniest library patrons a larger selection to choose from! We also have an Amazon wish list with items we would love to add to our Children’s Room which you can find at: https://a.co/hWcSVfn
 
Please see below for options to donate and help the children in our community grow. We appreciate your help and support for our children! All donors will be recognized with their name placed on the cover of the new book.

Halloween Costume Exchange

Halloween Costume Exchange

As part of The Great Give Back, a community service initiative for public libraries in New York State, we will be accepting donations for gently used, clean Halloween costumes starting Friday September 12th until October 10th. You can drop them off during the library’s open hours (T-Fri 12-5, Sat 9-1).
 
On Saturday October 11th, 18th and 25th from 9-1pm, anyone from the community can come to the library to “shop” through the donations and find a costume for Halloween! One costume per person.
 
You do not have to donate a costume in order to get one. You can donate, take a costume OR both. 🎃👻
