No fines for children’s items– Our kid’s books and DVD’s are now fine free. So if you are a little late we won’t scold, we’ll say ” Just bring them back when you can!”

New “Maker Space” Area-  We are currently working on our new “Maker Space” area for our young people to make and create all kinds of fun and amazing things. Look for the “Maker Space” this summer.

Library Closed July 4th- We will be closed on Thursday,  July 4 in observance of  Independence Day. We will reopen on Friday, July 5th at 9:00 AM.

 

“Take a Tromp Through the Swamp”- August 9th

“Take a Tromp Through the Swamp”- August 9th

“Take a Tromp Through the Swamp” with singer, musician, storyteller Tom Sieling will take place August 9th as part of our Family Night program.

Act your age or not, sing along with Tom with a Top-Ten lineup of the world’s most fun, upbeat, and participatory kid songs. Many are even a bit athletic.

Program is Free- Everybody is Invited.

Libraries Rock! – 2018 Summer Reading Program

“Libraries Rock!” is this year’s topic for our annual Summer Reading Program. Each Thursday afternoon, from 1-3 pm, in the month of July, we will meet for a time of reading and fun.

Here are the programs for July:

 

July 5 – Magic by Michael- By popular demand, Magic by Michael will kick off this year’s program. You may be able to learn a few tricks along the way.

 

July 12- Professor Klutzo- Professor Klutzo tours the world of music with interesting instruments such as: the mandolin, balalaika, banjo, ukulele, harmonica, and tiple. Come see his old time gramophone as well as his magic tricks and his ventriloquism.

 

July 19- “Snakeman” Dan Chase- “Snakeman” Dan Chase will present an entertaining program with snakes and reptiles.

 

July 26- 4H Fun with Crafts, Refreshments, with Reading Awards and Prizes.

Children and caregivers are welcome to attend.
