Brain Teasers for Kids and Adults
Some riddles for you this morning (for both kids and adults)!

Songs and Ideas for the Littlest of Library Littles
Allow me to introduce you to some superstars of the children’s library world: Dana and Lindsey of Jbrary! If you click into their youtube playlists, they have many songs that help children form difficult sounds, learn sign language, and just “get the wiggles out!”
Here’s the link: https://jbrary.com
If you, as a parent, are looking for ways to entertain your child, click into the menu for Programs. There you will find ideas for both Baby and Toddler Storytimes. They share how to use puppets and felt stories with kids, as well as sharing some finger plays (often a counting game using a song or rhyme), songs/dances, books that work well for a felt story (you could even cut and create the pieces together), and egg shakers (another thing you could make together)! Or, if you want to create a storytime for your Littles, there’s even a place that teaches you how in that list.
I can’t tell you how much I love these ladies with their sunny attitudes and fabulous resources. Hopefully this helps you, too! If nothing else, the songs on their YouTube channel are really fun for kids!!
Have fun! And happy Saturday!
Re-sharing Valuable Information
This information seemed worth re-sharing, as well as the fact that our free wifi is still available if you want to park in the driveway or sit on the porch and take advantage of it using your laptop, phone, or tablet.
The free Libby app is the easiest way to get started with digital books, audiobooks, and magazines from the
library.
STEP 1
Install the Libby app from your device’s app store including Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Store
Or, visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge browser.
STEP 2
In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a valid library card.
STEP 3
Browse your library’s collection and borrow a title.
STEP 4
Borrowed titles appear under Shelf > Loans and download to the app automatically when you’re connected to Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you’re offline.
From your Loans, you can:
Tap Read With… to choose where you’d like to read the book (Kindle or Libby), then finish sending to Kindle (U.S. libraries only) or start reading in Libby.
Tap Open Audiobook or Open Magazine to start reading or listening to that title.
Tap Manage Loan to see options like Renew and Return.
There is a video available here: https://help.overdrive.com/en-us/1307.html
Happy reading!

Friday Writing Prompt
Friday writing prompt: “Eight-year-old Jade’s wind-tossed hair whipped around her face as she watched the waves crash to shore.”
How to play: Use the above as the opening line in the story. We’d like each person to comment a line in the story (keep it family friendly, please!) so that each person’s comment builds on the story. So, first comment is the second line in the story. Second comment is the third line, and so on. This should take the story down some interesting roads!
If you’d rather write a whole story or poem yourself, feel free to do that too! We’d love to see it and hope you’ll share!
Alright everyone! Let’s see what’s happening with Jade! And…GO!!!
