Prevention of fires and fire safety is important. In recognition of Fire Prevention month, the Edmeston Free Library Board, staff and volunteers would like to thank the members of the Fire Department, Emergency Squad and Fire Auxiliary for their dedicated time and service they give unselfishly to the community.

Also, we would like to give a special thank you to Brian Ward of Wards Off Fire for his many years of service inspecting the Library fire extinguishers.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH AT 2:00 PM

Bennett Sandler, Campaign Director of Heat Smart Otsego, will present information on Clean Heating and Cooling technologies including cold climate air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps (aka geothermal), pellet stoves and biomass boilers (bulk pellet and wood gasification).

The presentation will cover how these systems work, how much they cost, how much they save and why they are better than your old furnace or boiler. In addition, Bennett will describe how to find quality local installers for each of these systems.
