Afton Free Library In-person Summer Reading Program- July 22 at 2:30 PM
Whooo is ready for some fun?… Join us July 22nd at 2:30 pm for a story, craft, and nature activity with our special guest from Cornell Cooperative Extension. It will be a HOOT! Space is limited so please register by emailing ba.library@4cls.org
“Tails and Tales”- 2021 Afton Summer Reading Program
During the month of July, the Afton Free Library will be having its Childrens’ Summer Reading Program. This summer’s program about animals is titled “Tale and Tales”.
Starting July 1st, families will be able to pick up activity packets for their children. Each packet will have fun and games, as well as a reading log and a special challenge for the young reader. Each week will have a different packet, so collect all four.
Among the topics for this summer’s programs are:
July 1-7: “Reading on the Wild Side”
July 8-14: “All Sorts of Tails & Tales”
July 15-21: “Bookin’ Around the Barn”
July 22-29: “Sea Creatures and More”
In addition to our reading packets, we will have a StoryWalk at the library. The StoryWalk will open beginning July 10th.
Finally, we will have an in-person program on Thursday, July 22, at 2:00. this program will feature a member of the 4-H Cooperative Extenstion with some cool activities for us.
