Pictures from Parkinson’s

Tim Welch is a local artist who only started painting after his early diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease. Tim discovered an interest and desire to create art from the world that surrounds him.
Tim uses his art to help raise money for research in Parkinson’s Disease.

The library is excited to have Tim join us for a signing of his new book, “Pictures From  Parkinson’s” as well as a display of his artwork.

Saturday, February 29th
12:00-2:00
Richfield Springs Public Library

Tim’s book sells for $15/copy.

Painted Pumpkin Contest

Throughout October the library will be hosting a painted pumpkin contest! Paint a pumpkin like your favorite book character and bring it by to the library. In the last week of October the community will vote on their favorite!

Don’t have paint at home? That’s ok! Bring your pumpkin to the library and use our paint!

Thank you!

Thank you to the New York State Police Officers who came in to the library today for story hour! We had a great time and the boys learned a lot!
Don’t forget about our other exciting events this week- Rock painting tomorrow, the Utica Zoo Mobile on Thursday, Story Hour Friday morning and Aliens in the library Friday afternoon!

Traveling Story Hour

Tuesday’s Traveling Story Hour has been POSTPONED until the end of August! Make sure to catch me next Tuesday, July 23, at the Richfield Springs Community Food Co-Op at 2:00!

Smoking is now prohibited

As of June 1, 2019 the Richfield Springs Public Library will be a smoke free area. Smoking is prohibited on the walkways and in the driveway of the building.

This action comes from a law signed into place by Governor Cuomo in December of 2018. If you have any questions or concerns please stop by the library to talk!

New Desk

Have you seen our beautiful new desk yet? Last week on Wednesday Mr. Byler came by to install the desk for us. We love it!

The desk was made possible through a generous donation to the library from the Rapenske.
