Dirt Road Express Band at Hyde Park

The Dirt Road Express Band performed at Hyde Park as part of the Perkins Concerts at Hyde Park series on August 4. The band played country and classic rock to the crowd as people listened, ate at the picnic tables, and children played on the playground . This concert was organized by the New Berlin Library and sponsored by Andrea Miller and Donald Perkins in honor of their parents, Jean and Ruso Perkins.

Traditionally the Perkins Concert Series is held in the community room at the New Berlin Library. The library director, Michelle Priola, stated that over 90 people attended the concert on Wednesday. “The community room maxes out capacity at 35 so it is great to have the venue to allow more people to enjoy this free concert series.”

The Perkins Performance Series at Hyde Park continues on August 11 is String of Pearls (Classic Rock), on August 18 is the Cadley’s (Americana), and on August 25 is Joe Lombardi performing our Children’s Concert. Bring your own chair or something to sit on. The rain location for all the concerts is the New Berlin Library community room.
