The New Berlin Library has added something new to their juvenile circulation collection, four “Hobby Boxes” and a ukulele. The hobby box subjects are Crocheting, Knitting, Balloon Animals, and Origami. Each hobby is housed in a clear portable file box with handles and includes a juvenile level instruction book and basic supplies such as yarn, needles, balloons, balloon pump, and origami paper. The library will replenish the supplies (yarn, balloons, origami paper) as needed. The hobby boxes will be available for check out for three week periods and the ukulele is available for one week checkout periods. The funding for these boxes and ukulele came from Andrea Miller and Donald Perkins in honor of their parents, Jean and Ruso Perkins.
