Coding and Ozobots at The New Berlin Library

On April 4th the New Berlin Library held a 4H/Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County After School Program. 4H Educator, Christina Hall, led a lesson entitled “Coding and Ozobots – Learn about computer coding”.

 

Participating children did an experiment with different colors markers that represented different code directives. They drew out designs and let the ozobot loose to complete the programmed commands. The children learned basic concepts and terms involved in computer coding

 

After the lesson, participants enjoys drinks and Chobani Yogurt. The yogurt was donated to the library by Chobani and will be available at future After School Science Programs at the New Berlin Library.

 

The schedule for the next 4H/Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County After School Programs is on April 18th – Marbling Cards. The after school programs takes place from 3:30-4:30 in the New Berlin Library Community Room.
