We’re Hiring: Circulation Desk Clerk(s)

With the new “assistant director” arriving soon (or more accurately the director’s maternity leave approaching), the Lisle Free Library is seeking applicants for Circulation Desk Clerk(s).  

This is a fixed schedule, part-time position (4 – 20 hours/week) with hours set by applicant’s availability. Responsibilities include performing the routine tasks of the circulation desk, compiling statistical and financial data, maintaining book displays and orderliness of the library, submitting patron feedback to the director, assisting patrons with the computers, and other tasks as requested by the Director.  Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs or more.  The ideal candidate would be comfortable with computers and other office equipment, have great customer service skills, be detail orientated, have previous library experience, and be able to start the position immediately.

2018 Summer Reading Program

The Lisle Free Library is kicking-off their annual Summer Reading Program.  This year’s program is “Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds” and will run from Wednesday, July 18th through Wednesday, August 29th.  Every week will feature story time on Mondays at 11:30 am, a special event or guest entertainer on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm (includes snack), and a kids’ craft time on Fridays from 3 – 5 pm.  All events are free and suitable for all ages!
