Jane Nohle Announced as Volunteer of the Year for 2017

The Lisle Free Library is proud to announce Jane Nohle as the Volunteer of the Year for 2017!

On Wednesday, December 27th at the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party, everyone who had donated their time, energy, and talents to the library in the past year received the Library’s thanks and sincerest gratitude.  There were gift bags, food, cake, punch and holiday cheer!! Honestly, it is only with the support of our volunteers are we able (and brave enough) to raise the Library to its fullest potential to serve the community.  We could not have done it without all of them and their individual talents!

But one volunteer who had gone above and beyond throughout the year was especially recognized for her unwavering dedication.  In addition to volunteering multiple times (and many hours) every week, Jane Nohle is never without a helpful suggestion or shy to come save the day (such as making an emergency dash home for a spoon to stir the punch at the party!).  The Board of Trustees, the Director, and all of the staff at the Library would like to say “Thank you” to Jane for her unwavering commitment, endless suggestions, and enthusiasm! As Winston Churchill once said “You may make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.” From everyone at the Lisle Free Library, thank you, Jane, for giving the Library life!
