Make a 3D Folded Heart Book on Zoom @ Harris Memorial Library
Feb 9 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Log on to Zoom (all link information will be available on the Facebook Event page the morning of the event) and learn how to make a pretty 3D heart by folding the pages of an old book. The process requires an old hardcover book of at least 220 pages in length that you’re ready to recycle (this book is what you will fold into shape), a ruler with centimeters marked on it, a pen or pencil, and patience! Shannon will get you started on the process and you’ll be able to finish on your own time (the entire folding process takes approximately two hours). If you live close to Harris Memorial Library and need a discarded book, we have several in the supply bin by the library door.

Crochet for Charity @ Oxford Memorial Library
Oct 21 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Oxford Memorial Library is hosting a Crochet for Charity event. We will be making TwiddleMuffs to donate to local nursing homes and care facilities for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. If you can knit or crochet, then you are ready for this program. Yarn and other supplies will be available, but feel free to bring your own hooks, needles, or yarn if you want. TwiddleMuffs are sensory handwarmers used to help keep your hands busy when anxious picking or fidgeting can be an issue. Patterns will be available at the event, and you can find them ahead of time on our website, www.oxfordmemoriallibrary.org . If you aren’t able to finish a TwiddleMuff the day of the event they can be returned to the library the following week (10/23-10/28).
