This month’s featured picture book is “Families, Families, Families” by Susan Lang
No matter your size, shape, or pedigree—if you love each other, you are a family!
Moms, dads, sisters, brothers—and even Great Aunt Sue—appear in dozens of combinations, demonstrating all kinds of nontraditional families! Silly animals are cleverly depicted in framed portraits and offer a warm celebration of family love.
-Start on Gardiner Place
-Follow the numbered posts around to North Street
-Stop inside the library for a related take home activity
The Board of Trustees will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday March 23, at 7:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend.

The Ogden Library is partnering once again with Cornell Cooperative Extension, to offer seven weeks of virtual cooking classes meant to encourage care givers and children to cook together. Cheryl Starcher Ceresna, Nutrition Teaching Assistant for Delaware County CCE, will lead families as they learn how to cook delicious and nutritious recipes at home. Those who are interested, should sign up at the library to receive login information. At the close of the program, those who attend at least six classes will be given a gift bag of kitchen tools.
April 30th is Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. Bring in a donation for the Heart of the Catskills animal shelter and be entered to win a beautiful portrait of your pet by Walton’s own, Donna Hamilton. We’ll have some of Donna’s portraits on display for your enjoyment. You can also enter the drawing by checking out one of the many heartwarming animal stories on display or by joining us for one of our animal themed programs.
This month’s Take and Make kits create fun pet toys- one kit for cats and another for dogs. Don’t have a pet but like to craft? Donate your creation to the animal shelter! Stop by the library and pick up your kit during the month of April.
One per household, while supplies last.
