This position reports to and is supervised by the Library Director.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Library Clerk will be responsible for:\u00a0<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: left;\"><li>Administering policies to the public.\u00a0<\/li><li>Updating databases and files.<\/li><li>Sorts library materials, organizes materials on carts to be shelved, and shelves materials<\/li><li>Registering new patrons.<\/li><li>Checking in and out various library materials.<\/li><li>Performing inter-library loan duties such as filling on-shelf items, receiving items, putting materials on hold, and calling patrons who have materials on hold available.\u00a0<\/li><li>Performs routine office procedures such as filing, making copies, answering the phone professionally, and collecting statistics accurately.\u00a0<\/li><li>Shelf reads and straightens materials on the shelves and in the collection while shelving<\/li><li>Assisting patrons wherever necessary, including with technology.<\/li><li>Other duties as described by the Library Director.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><u>Education and Experience Requirements<\/u><\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: left;\"><li>High-school diploma or greater<\/li><li>Strong computer skills<\/li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: left;\">The job is for 26 hours each month, with a salary of $12.50 per hour.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">The hours are bi-weekly.
