RLA Thrift Shoppe News and Hours
The RLA Thrift Shoppe at the back of the library currently offers “fill a bag”, a $5.00 (plastic grocery store bag that we supply) and a $2.00 book bag sale.
The items for sale in the library’s circulation area are individually but modestly priced.
The RLA Thrift Shoppe does not accept electronic items but gratefully receives all other types of merchandise donations throughout the calendar year. We do ask that all clothing be clean, neatly folded, free of pet hair, and shoes especially must be in wearable condition.
As our space is small, please limit your book donations to current titles of fiction and non-fiction only, and only one bag or box at a time. We cannot accept text books, manuals, or any books that are not in new condition.
The RLA Thrift Shoppe only accepts donations when the library is open. Thank you for your kind consideration!
The Thrift Shoppe is open during weekly library hours:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:
8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; and
Saturdays: 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Library Director Mary Jean Scudder and Library Clerks Anne, Velga and Joan are available to answer questions about Thrift Shoppe donations. The telephone number of the Roxbury Library is
(607) 326-7901.
October 1, 2025:
We are now taking winter clothing! Please donate during library hours: we accept coats, boots, and cold weather clothing. Our musts: coats have working zippers; boots clean and only slightly worn; accessories lightly used if at all.
We do ask that all clothing donated by ready-to-wear, meaning clean, unwrinkled, and without stains, holes or missing buttons.
Thank you for your donations!
