Basement Rehab\/Digital Sign\/Air Conditioning<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With our latest NY State Library Construction Grant, in the fall of 2026, plans are in place to start working on the basement of the library to make the rooms downstairs functional for future programming and usage by adding a commercial-grade dehumidifier\/air purifier.<\/p>

Split unit air conditioning will be installed in the main part of the library and the memorial room, to make us a proper cooling station for the community during the summer months.\u00a0<\/p>

Finally, a digital sign will be installed on the front lawn of the library, allowing us to announce programs and events the library holds, and any events that might take place throughout the community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Next Windows and Electricity Project<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This project was completed in 2023.<\/p>

Upcoming this spring, the Memorial room in the library will be going under renovation.\u00a0 With many thanks to the ARPA Grant through the Richfield Springs Village, we will be updating the electricity in the memorial room and adding floor outlets to eliminate the many cords stretching around the room at times.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Coming up around April, the windows in the Memorial room and the front attic windows of the library will be replaced as well, thanks to the ARPA Grant through the Village and the NY State Library Construction Grant.<\/p>

With the electricity update, we will have to close down the use of the memorial room for a short time, but we will keep you all updated on that.<\/p>

All windows in the front of the library on the main floor are scheduled to be replaced.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Four windows on the left side of the front of the library, and four windows on the right side of the library with the following measurements.\u00a0 \u00a0Each window measures 44 inches wide by 48 inches high.<\/p>\n

The tall front windows are also to be replaced.\u00a0 It will be allowed to replace these windows with the following measurements, a top section of 37 inches wide by 18 inches high, and the bottom will be 37 inches wide by 84 inches high.\u00a0 There are two windows on each side of the library for these measurements, a total of four.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Computer room window must also be replaced with measurements of 34 inches wide by 62 inches high.<\/p>\n

The bathroom window to be replaced will be 15 1\/4 inches by 35 1\/4 inches.<\/p>\n

All windows must be double hung windows with flat sill inserts, traditional checkrail.\u00a0 Exterior and interior color to be white.<\/p>\n

Glass must be high performance Smart Sun Glass or Insulated E3 Glass with argon gas \u2013 must have UV protection to help with preservation of library art and collections.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hardware must be white, standard color, with sash locks and sash lifts on double hungs, folding handle and multi-point lock on casements.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Screens must be fiberglass, full screen.<\/p>\n

Grilles are to be between the glass for easy cleaning, all sash, colonial 3 wide, 3 high.<\/p>\n

The library is NY State Sales tax exempt, this must be reflected in the bid supplied.<\/p>

The New York State Prevailing Wage Schedule must be adhered to.\u00a0 \u00a0Also proof of insurance must be supplied, specifically liability insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n
