Participating children were taught some basic clay sculpting techniques and how to use sculpting tools. The children experimented with the various techniques and created coil and free-form sculptures using air dry clay. At the end of the class participants were given the choice of leaving their sculptures at the library to dry or bringing them home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next Ezra Jack Keats Foundation sponsored children&#8217;s art class will take place on Wednesday, July 28. The class is on colored pencils and painting sculptures. The art classes take place on Wednesdays in July starting at 3:30 in the community room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All art supplies will be provided but smocks from home are encouraged. For more information and to sign up for the classes call the library 607.847.8564.
