New Berlin Library Board Meeting Minutes for May 27, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

George Anderson calls the meeting to order at 6:02 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let it be noted that the board members and director are seated 6\nfeet apart and wearing face coverings. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bills: <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bills approved and signed for April and May. George made a motion\nto approve April and May bills seconded by Darla Smith. Motion\npassed 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March Minutes approved. Motion Made by George Anderson and\nseconded by Lynn LaValley. Motion passed 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer’s Report: <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna Wells explained balance sheet and CDs. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna explained the government called in the Wells Fargo Sweep\nAccount and it is now closed. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna explained that the CD that came due was transferred to the\nsavings account. When the interest rates on CDs improve she will\nmove it back into a CD. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director’s Report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle has been communicating with the sate, county and 4CLS and\nhas approval to reopen the library to curbside service beginning June\n1t. We will offer the service 1-5 PM, Monday through Friday. Each\nof our 5 hourly employees will work one, four hour shift per week. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion made to start curbside service starting June 1st<\/sup>,\nMonday through Friday 1-5 PM and to continue the reopening phases in\nstep with the rest of the 4CLS Chenango County libraries by Jill\nRobinson and seconded by Donna Wells. Motion passed 5-0. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna Wells made the motion to continue paying the staff their\nregular pay during curbside service. George Anderson seconded. The\nmotion passed 5-0. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion made by Donna Wells that during the phases of the NY\nForward Business Re-Opening staff, patrons, and the general public\nmust wear face coverings to gain entrance to the library building. \nIt was seconded by George Anderson. Motion passed 5-0. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea Miller and Donald Perkins canceled the Perkins Memorial\nPerformance Series for the 2020 season. I have contacted the\nperformer and either canceled or rescheduled for 2021. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Perkins family have told us that we can use part of the money\ndesignated for the performance series can be used for PPEs. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle advised the board that Carol Riley informed her that the\nvillage is putting the repairs and painting of library building out\nto bid. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion made to close meeting at 6:17 by\nGeorge Anderson seconded by Donna Wells. Motion passed 5-0. \n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
