Update\nRegarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nThe\nNew Berlin Library has been monitoring the developments pertaining to\nthe COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nAt\nthis time, we continue to operate with standard hours. However,\nshould the Unadilla Valley School close due to the virus or we are\nasked to close by federal, state, or local government, we will close\nthe library to the public. We are currently working on protocols in\nthe event closure, including extended checkouts, fine waiving, and\nbook-drop procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nIn\nan effort to maintain a safe environment and address patron concerns,\nwe have taken these additional measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nThe\nlibrary will not be accepting donations of materials at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nThe\ncommunity puzzle has been ceased until the outbreak is over. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nWe\nhave instituted enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols.\nSpecifically, we have increased the frequency of cleaning handrails,\ndoorknobs, book covers, tables, chairs, and the bathrooms. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nA\nhand sanitizing station in located in the front entry of the library,\nantibacterial soap in the bathrooms, and surface disinfectant wipes\nwill be available upon request. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nAs\na precaution, we will begin wiping down the exteriors of returned\nitems before shelving. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nAs\na reminder, we have open wi-fi for patrons to bring their own devices\nto the library. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nWe\nencourage any concerned patrons, especially those in high-risk\npopulations, to stay home if they are feeling ill or are concerned\nabout potential exposure. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nAs\na reminder, library staff can place holds and renew items over the\nphone. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
