We are pleased to share Milford Free Library’s annual report, highlighting our services and impact throughout the year. Thank you for your continued support!
Library Visitors:
We had 1637 visitors in 2025! Up from 756 in 2022!
Interlibrary Loans:
Borrowed: 967
Loaned: 1,490
Sharing resources across the region.
Materials Circulated: 3,291 in 2025, up from 2,934 in 2024
Registered Borrowers: 129

Library Collection
The library has a total collection of 11,679 items.
This year 571 new items were added!
Services Offered
Libby: Access eBooks and audiobooks digitally for free.
Public Computers: Available for internet access and software use.
Wi-Fi: Free high-speed internet access in the library (& even from the street in front!).
Free Little Libraries: Two book cases outside in front of the library with books free for the taking anytime.
Ancestry.com: Research your family history with library access.
Printing and Photocopying: We only charge 10 cents per copy!

To those who may question our increase in funding on the last school budget vote, this increase is due to the automation fees required for ongoing maintenance of the library computer system. (The actual cost is $4,000+ per year, we asked & received $2,500 per year. We will adjust our budget accordingly.)
Good News!
We have recently been awarded a New York State Library Construction Grant! We plan to expand the front wall forward replacing the 76-year-old windows and installing an ADA compliant door. The additional space will give us more room for children’s programs & adult meetings. We also hope to add some comfortable seating for those who might want to stay awhile.
