Taking place Tuesday October 29th at 5:30 pm in our conference room.

Stop by the circulation desk during open hours to choose your new recipe from the cookbook pictured above (Hudson Valley Mediterranean: The Gigi Good Food Cookbook). Each participant will make something different . Variety is the spice of life, after all!

Library staff will flag your recipe as chosen and make a copy for you to take home with you. During the event, food will be shared potluck style so everyone can sample all creations. Discussion will center around the recipes, the book, your favorite ‘go to’ recipe and anything else food related. Please join a great group of foodies for some delicious new flavors and lively discussion!

***This cookbook may not be circulated until the October event is complete***

Summer Story Walk (ongoing through Labor Day)

Beginning at the library, take your kids on a walk about Margaretville to follow the story “Duck on a Tractor” by David Shannon for our very first Story Walk! This gets little ones moving and keeps them engaged as they follow the map to the next pages in the story.

Story pages are up on various business windows around Main Street, but the beginning of the book is right here at the library on the front door on our old porch. There you will also find a map and description of a story walk, though that very same pamphlet is available to take either from the library or any of the participating businesses with pages displayed.

This story walk will be up through labor day and we hope many children will enjoy this wonderful duck-themed story while viewing the creatively dressed-up wooden ducks around town.

Happy walking (and reading)!
