A Tribute to Leon Schworm<\/h3>

The Edmeston Free Library staff and Board of Trustees honor the memory of our colleague and friend Leon Schworm. Leon was an EFL Board member for 27 years; he served as the Board Secretary and Treasurer for a number of those years. Leon was also the Edmeston Museum Director and Edmeston Town Historian from 2009 through 2017.

\nDuring his time on the library board, Leon was instrumental in the library\u2019s fundraising events, including annual chicken and biscuit dinners and winter festivals. His fine cooking skills combined with his willingness to roll up his sleeves and work alongside the other Board members helped make these events both fun and successful.

\nLeon\u2019s longtime service to the community was invaluable.
