welcome to attend, or to come to a meeting just to learn more. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><br>It&#8217;s a very eclectic, very friendly group of writers who dole out their critiques&#8211;should one want a class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fog Bank<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>by Ed Nichols<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fog bank assigned purpose for today<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As it forcefully keeps in touch with the ground<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is to move along its assigned pathway<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Silently as it goes, making nary a sound<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trying to draw nourishment so as it grows bigger<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like a baby being fed from its mother&#8217;s breast<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its gentle movements show very little vigor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first it is content to stop often and rest<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fog bank has developed near our mountain range<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From its present location it may soon want to move<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like a grazing Hereford its position continually needs to change<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its opportunities for growth it wants to improve<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking so soft white and fluffy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With no density of body at all<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why not call the cloud bank puffy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is nice to identify with a name to call<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will follow its often-altered plan to mature<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accepting the way things are for the duration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It may be too late for a life-changing detour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its maturing was left optional at the time of creation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fog bank is migrating along the mountainside<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It seems to be unsatisfied with where it is now<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forever change its shape, it continues to glide<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Going as fast as the earthly terrain will allow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It continues moving up closer to the mountaintop<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will soon reach the point of no return<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any hope it can come back, we now drop<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is next for our fog bank we will soon learn<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Severing its earthly contact with delight<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cutting its umbilical cord as it had vowed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has left on its preordained celestial flight<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My friends, we have just witnessed the birth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of a cloud<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><img class=\"wp-block-heading\"> <em>by Ed Nichols<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The distancing they are asking us to endure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That should keep us all so well protected,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It may be detrimental, to our psyche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Almost for sure, we\u2019re going to feel rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I have the answer to this manmade plight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a conversation of substance that we should master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just talk to the one that you know the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make it all flowery with a touch of luster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Start out with a topic that is not too deep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pick something that is enjoyable to talk about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t make it about dieting, you may eat too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You could realize too late that the other one is stout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both of your knowledge pools should be close to the same,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or you may need some interpretations, by an intelligent elf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choosing your other talker, it is very important<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is nobody better to talk to, just choose yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being alone twenty-four hours a day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is not a big chance you will be overheard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So say what you like even if it seems dumb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nobody will taunt you with \u201cThat sounds absurd.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A good conversationalist I was turning out to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Things were going just fine, while enjoying my plight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I could discuss what I wanted, any old time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I concentrated on fantasy, that caused me no fright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And then our pastor, with a mask on, stopped to offer a prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I soon started blabbing to her, more than I should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guess I said some things that let my cat out of the bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She then texted somebody just as soon as she could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It wasn\u2019t too long and there was a knock on my door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With their long white coats on, they entered the hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wasn\u2019t comfortable with the scene, but I resisted not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No good could come of it, there was no advantage to stall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The thoughts I was thinking had a comical twist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As youngsters, we kids would chide an erring one,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cthe white coats are coming, the white coats are coming.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back then it was just our way of having some fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the white coats were here to take me away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You would think I was crazy or some such thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serious they were, about getting my life in order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How backward things are, dong ding, dong ding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With their professionalism I was toying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It just made me feel good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were totally lacking in humor,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was having my fun, just because I could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They took me through some doors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That had more than a double lock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They said this would be my new home<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I would grow to like it, but that was a crock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There should be somebody sane to gab with in here,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For I am just visiting in this unsterile place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was afraid that I, \u201cwe,\u201d would be overheard,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I quit talking to myself, at least to my face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve got to make some changes,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it better be pretty darn soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even I\u2019m starting to believe<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That I need this padded room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think a little fake news<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Could help me quite a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will suggest that number nineteen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Push a lot of our people into the pit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It could influence even those not infected<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To contemplate things in different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reality would then be altered for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They would remain noticeably queer for uncounted days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shrinks counseled together way too long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When they finally decided that I could be right,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nineteen had disproportionately influenced even them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So immediately, they released me, from this, my plight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It had been an eye-opening experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That I really wish I could forget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ll forever be hesitant to confide in my pastor,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But my conversations with myself, I do not regret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
