SPECIAL EVENTS AT OGDEN IN MAY:
Tuesday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. The Ogden Film and Book Chat. Come and discuss your favorite (or least favorite) books and movies with a great group of devoted readers and movie-goers. We’d love to hear about all the books you’ve read. We’re always looking for new ideas to share. Coffee, Tea and Dessert provided by the library.
Wednesday, 9 May at 7:00 p.m. Animals in the South African Bush Slide Show Presentation with Bret Meckel, DVM from SUNY Delhi and his students will discuss the course they participated in this past January. The course focused on wildlife conservation &students visited facilities that related to endangered species breeding, wildlife rehabilitation and reptile conservation. They camped in the bush, tracked wildlife and learned how to immobilize animals in the wild at the Balule Nature Preserve according to releases printed in The Daily Star.

Saturday, May 12, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Ogden Writers’ Group will meet in the lower-level of the library. All poetry and prose writers of any nature are welcome.
TUESDAY, MAY 15 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. The Ogden Library would like to take this opportunity to urge the community to vote for the proposition to increase funding for the Library on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the school bus garage from noon to 9:00 p.m. The library proposition is at the top of your ballot.
Monday, 14 May at 7:00 p.m. Alzheimer Basics. Presentation with Ann Thayer, Program Manager of the Alzheimer’s Association of the Leatherstocking Region of NYS. Please call the library at 607-865-5929 to register.
Thursday, 17 May at 7:00 p.m. Screening of The Next Frontier: Engineering the Golden Age of Green at the library. This one-hour documentary that cuts through the debate about global warming and climate change. Instead, it focuses on the renewable, clean energy technologies that can improve our future and create significant economic opportunities. Don’t miss it.

Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. The Library Club for Elementary Schoolers. Books, crafts, games and friends.
Fridays at 10:45 a.m. Toddler Story Hour: Songs, games, stories and lots of fun the little ones.
