– A monthly subscription account was set up with Junior Library Guild for
ordering Juvenile books. Aside from the book a month that will be shipped we
were also able to select 5 free books.
June
·
Throughout
the month we received the books that were ordered for the Smokey Bear Reading
Challenge. The Smokey Bear digital
toolkit was used to construct lesson plans for Story Hour each week.

Estimates
were coordinated by trustees and received from various contractors for the LDA
Construction grant.

Junior
Library Guild books for Juveniles (mysteries/adventures for upper elementary
levels) have been arriving throughout the month and added to a new display for
Juvenile Fiction.

6/7/2024
– Barbara LaCorte attended the Four County Library
System Annual Meeting and Dinner.
·
6/9
through 7/2 – JoAnn Fralick was out due to knee
surgery. Melinda ran Story Hour on June 12,19, and 26.
·
6/12-
The “Intent to Apply” form for this year’s NYS LDA grant application was
submitted to 4cls.
·
6/15
– The “Otsego Lake Association” presented the library with a display and 10
aquatic and adventure books.
·
6/18
– Received 4cls Mini Grant Award from for IPads.
·
6/20/24
– Adult Nutrition Class series began. Well attended. Instructor is leaving her
position at the end of June and will not be conducting the July and August
classes.

6/25
– The library received notice from 4cls of funding for construction through the
LDA grant.
·
6/26
– An ad was placed with the Pennysaver listing July
programs and events at the library and acknowledging the book donations from
the Cooperstown Lions Club and the Otsego Lake Association.

were made for the July 4th event.
