We are pleased to announce these additions to our collection:

Graphic novel:  Pet Robots by Scott Christian Sava.

Non-fiction, standard print:  Women of Words: A Personal Introduction to Thirty-Five Important Writers, edited by Janet Bukovinsky Teacher and illustrated by Jenny Powell.  This book is lovely, with portraits of the authors, and includes biographies and writing samples.  Inspiring!

DVDs:  The Blind Side, starring Sandra Bullock; and Sweet Dreams, starring Jessica Lange and Ed Harris.  Both movies are based on true stories of extraordinary individuals:  Michael Oher, football star; and Patsy Cline, legendary country singer.

Play-Reading Group Returns

The Play-Reading Group will meet again on Thursday, February 23, at 7:00 p.m. We will pick up where we left off at our first meeting with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Part One, Act Two. If you have your own copy of the script, please bring it with you, but a few copies will be on hand at our library. Come join us—it’s fun! All are welcome. If you did not attend the first meeting, have no fear—we will catch you up on the storyline.

We have new novels for our adult readers!

In large print:  Robert B. Parker’s Blackjack by Robert Knott; and, under one cover, Dick Francis’s Bloodline by Felix Francis / Love Gently Falling by Melody Carlson.  Blackjack is a western in the series with Marshals Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch; the first book in the series, Appaloosa, was made into a movie.  Bloodline is a mystery set in the world of horseracing, and Love Gently Falling is about a family beauty salon business.

In standard print:  The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge by Michael Punke; and Amish Cooking Class: The Seekers by Wanda E. Brunstetter.  The Revenant takes place in the year 1823 in the rugged Rocky Mountains; it was made into a movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
