If you enjoy attending one of our many children’s programs, or would like to start, please be aware of the recent changes that have been made. You can find all updated descriptions on the Children & Teens page of the library website, or pick up a copy of the kids’ calendar (with notes on the back) at our circulation desk.
There are many opportunities for kids being offered at the Sidney Library this summer. Our staff will offer:
- hand-on science program for grades K-3 on Tuesdays
- family entertainment on Wednesdays
- science experiments for grades 4-6 on Wednesdays
- movies on Thursdays
In addition, regular children’s programs like lapsit, toddler story time, and preschool story time will all continue.
Kids will also be able to join our Independent Summer Reading Program and earn a free book for every 300 minutes of reading. More information will come in future newsletters (available at the library) and on our website.
Summer is over and our fall programs are starting up again. Preschoolers can join us tomorrow, Thursday, September 12th, from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. in the Smart Community Room for Music for Munchkins. We will learn about musical instruments, move to some music, and play with a parachute.
The next Music for Munchkins will be on Tuesday, September 24th from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m.
