On Wednesday, June 25th at 6:00pm, Kim MacRabie will present about Delaware and Chenango Wholeshare, an organization that offers local and organic food at reasonable prices by working with groups of members rather than individually. Ms. MacRabie will share information about Wholeshare and answer questions. We hope you will join us in the Smart Community Room for this informative talk.
On Tuesday, June 17th at 6:30pm, Patrick McElligott will present on Native American history, with a focus on local history and archaeology. This event will be held in the Smart Community Room.
Mr. McElligott will compare what archaelogists have interpreted from their findings over the years, with the oral traditions of the Iroquois as taught by Chief Paul Waterman. This includes all the way back to the Paleo Era (the first people who lived in the northeast) up to 1776.
Examples of different artifacts (such as arrowheads and hand tools) from each time period will be shown, all of which are from Sidney and the Tri-Town area.
