The Friends of the Libraries will hold their monthly book discussion group on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 at 11:30am in our Smart Community Room. This month’s book is The Boston Girl by Anita Diamant. This group is open to the public – all are welcome.
The Sidney Library isn’t just for books. We also host several clubs that are open to anyone interested. All clubs meet in our Smart Community Room.
- Writers’ Group – 1st and 3rd Mondays at 6:30pm
- Quilting Group – 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 1-3pm
- Book Club, hosted by the Library Friends – 3rd Tuesday at 11:30am
- Ancestry / Genealogy Club – 4th Wednesday at 6pm

Do you enjoy quilting? Would you like to connect with other area quilters? The Sidney Library’s quilting group will resume their biweekly meetings beginning in September. The group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in the community room. All are welcome to join beginning on Tuesday September 8th, 2015 from 1 – 4pm. Be sure to bring your sewing machine!
The Friends of the Libraries will hold their monthly discussion group on Tuesday August 18th 2015 at 11:30am. This month’s book is Necessary Lies by Diane Chamberlain. All are welcome to come and participate – you can pick up a copy of the book at our circulation desk.
Photo club, run by local photographer Thomas Hunter, will meet this Monday, April 7th at 6pm in the Smart Community Room. Thomas goes into great depth about the many functions of digital cameras, so this group is a great fit for both beginner and experienced photographers.
Writers’ Group is new to the Sidney Library. Its first meeting will be Monday, March 31st at 6:30pm in the Smart Community Room. The group hopes to provide a place for writers to share their projects and receive constructive feedback from others. This group is open to all, so if you are interested please join us!

Join Thomas Hunter (local photographer) and others for the Photography Club’s second meeting. It will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, March 3rd in the Community Room. Be sure to bring your camera!
