Do you know someone who is interested in learning more about using technology such as iPads or digital cameras? The Public Computing Center is offering free classes this month on topics such as:

  • Digital cameras, and editing photos using programs like Picasa
  • Scanning and uploading documents
  • Social media, including Facebook
  • Keyboarding basics
  • iPad basics

Register online, by calling the Sidney Library at 563-1200, or stopping in and registering in person.

Sidney Library’s Public Computing Center (PCC) will hold the following workshops in July:

If you are interested in registering for any of these classes, you can click here to view the complete calendar. By holding your mouse over a workshop you can see more information, including if there are still openings. Registration is available online, or by calling 563-1200 or stopping in to the Sidney Library.

Open hours are also available if you have a specific question about using a device or website. The PCC’s open hours will be every Wednesday from 10:00am to noon.

Sidney NY local Thomas Hunter is the featured artist in the Sidney Library’s Smart Community Room. His photography highlights some of the beautiful nature in our area. This exhibit will be up until January 31st. When you are visiting the Sidney Library to check out some new materials, don’t forget to stop in and see the artwork.
