Our first Family Entertainment night in August will be Ninja Night. On August 3rd, 2016 at 6:30pm, we invite kids to come test their ninja skills. They will also get a chance to be creative as they make their own ninja headband and nunchucks.

The Delaware County Historical Association will have an exhibit on display in the Sidney Library’s Smart Community Room now through March 30th, 2016. The focus is on hand quilting from 1770 – 1916. All quilts were made in the local area. We hope you will stop by to see these beautiful items anytime the library is open.
Winter is hard on birds, so it’s up to us to help them. That’s why we will be making bird feeders on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 from 2 – 3 pm in the Public Computing Center (PCC) downstairs in the library. School age kids are welcome to join us for this craft. (This is a half-day for Sidney students.)
Kids Club will follow at 3:30, and kids are welcome to stay and play Minecraft, use iPads, or have fun on the Smartboard.
Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 is a half day of school for Sidney students. Why not join us from 2 – 3:30pm for a fun craft activity? Kids of all ages can join us in the children’s area to make a holiday decoration. (All are invited to stay for LEGO time, which begins at 3:30.)
Join local crafter Pat Oertel on Monday November 9th at 6:30pm to make your own gift/trinket box. Choose from one of two designs and make your own box that can be used for giving a small gift, or to hold your own keepsakes.

Looking for something fun to do next Thursday October 8th from 2 – 4pm? Since Sidney Central School has a half-day, we will be hosting our fall fun event for children of all ages. Our staff will have crafts, read-aloud stories, and the short movie It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!. We will have cider and donuts for you to enjoy during the movie.

- Wed. July 8 at 6:30pm – Mike the Juggler will be performing in our Smart Community Room. Thank you to the Friends of the Libraries, who are sponsoring this event.
- Thurs. July 9 at 3:00pm – Kids Super Fun Hour is being held in our Public Computing Center (in the library basement). This week, we are inspired by Mike the Juggler and will make our own juggling balls so we can practice!
With school being closed on Monday, December 22nd, is your child looking for something fun to do? Join us at the Sidney Library at 2pm when kids will be able to create a homemade ornament for their own tree or to give as a gift.
