The Friends of the Libraries will hold their monthly book discussion group on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 at 11:30am in our Smart Community Room. This month’s book is The Boston Girl by Anita Diamant. This group is open to the public – all are welcome.
The Sidney Library isn’t just for books. We also host several clubs that are open to anyone interested. All clubs meet in our Smart Community Room.
- Writers’ Group – 1st and 3rd Mondays at 6:30pm
- Quilting Group – 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 1-3pm
- Book Club, hosted by the Library Friends – 3rd Tuesday at 11:30am
- Ancestry / Genealogy Club – 4th Wednesday at 6pm

The Friends of the Libraries are hosting their book discussion group on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11:30am. This month’s book is Storied Life of A. J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin and all are welcome to join.

Do you enjoy quilting? Would you like to connect with other area quilters? The Sidney Library’s quilting group will resume their biweekly meetings beginning in September. The group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in the community room. All are welcome to join beginning on Tuesday September 8th, 2015 from 1 – 4pm. Be sure to bring your sewing machine!
Kids in grades K-6 are invited to stop by the library on Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:30pm and check out the new Kids Club. Downstairs in the PCC (Public Computing Center) we will meet to play games, do team challenges, make crafts, and more. We hope you will join us for some fun!
Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline will be the topic of June’s book discussion group meeting, hosted by the Friends of the Libraries.
This meeting will take place in the Smart Community Room on Tuesday, June 17th at 11:30am. If you’ve never been, we encourage you to come and see what it’s all about!
Photo club, run by local photographer Thomas Hunter, will meet this Monday, April 7th at 6pm in the Smart Community Room. Thomas goes into great depth about the many functions of digital cameras, so this group is a great fit for both beginner and experienced photographers.
The newly formed Photography Club, organized by local photographer Thomas Hunter, will meet for the first time this Monday, February 3rd at 6:00pm in the Smart Community Room. If you have an interest in learning more about your camera, please come. This group is free to the public. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
