Kids Club is a program for children ages 5 and up. Kids are given time to try educational games on our iPads, try out the game Minecraft, and do crafts. We meet in the Sidney Library’s PCC (Public Computing Center) every Tuesday. This summer we will be there from 3 – 5pm each week.

Our first Family Entertainment activity of the summer is a scavenger hunt for kids on Wednesday July 1st, 2015 at 6:30pm. Kids can follow clues to explore all the library has to offer. Join us as we begin the event in our Smart Community Room and branch out all throughout the library. We hope to see you there!
We have a variety of library programs available for young children. Here are just a few:
- Music for Munchkins gives children ages 2-5 time to explore instruments, sing songs, and finish off with parachute play.
- Pre-K Tech gives young ones an educational experience with some of the technology in the library, including fun and educational apps and websites.
- Lego Time offers preschool through school age children a chance to play and create with Legos.
You can find complete program descriptions and dates on our Children & Teens page on the website.
If you enjoy attending one of our many children’s programs, or would like to start, please be aware of the recent changes that have been made. You can find all updated descriptions on the Children & Teens page of the library website, or pick up a copy of the kids’ calendar (with notes on the back) at our circulation desk.
The second special children’s event we have during school vacation week is a game day for kids called Get Your Game Face On. Join us on Thursday 2/19 from 2-4pm. We will be hanging out and having some fun on the Wii, playing board games, and will have other activities available too. When you get to the library, come downstairs to our Public Computing Center and get ready to have a good time!
