Meg Anderson Argo, whose artwork is being featured in the Smart Community Room during September and October, will display her collection of fire drawings. Ms. Anderson Argo is a NYS Fire Investigator and has put together this display to honor local fire departments, since October is Fire Prevention Month. We encourage you to stop by and view the artwork anytime the library is open.
The featured artist for the month of May is Kevin Klumpp. Mr. Klumpp has dealt with many challenges in his life, including being unable to speak and learning to communicate through sign language. He is very passionate about drawing and photography. Many of Kevin’s drawings take several days to complete and the inspiration for his work is not always known. Please stop in to the Smart Community Room and view his work any time our library is open.
During the month of April, stop by our Smart Community Room and see the beautiful drawings of Meg Anderson Argo. Ms. Argo, who was a professional photographer for 20 years, also does pastel drawings which will be on display. She is inspired by nature, including the mountains of upstate New York and the ocean views of Cape Cod. Feel free to visit the exhibit any time the library is open.
Starting on December 20th, the work of Jim Bryden will be on display in the Smart Community Room. Mr. Bryden is a stonecutter from Sidney Center who also creates beautiful quilts. These quilts will be on display and we encourage you to view them whenever the Sidney Library is open.
November’s featured artists are photographers Brigitte Beehler and Janice Downey. Their work focuses on flowers and landscapes, all printed with vibrant colors that capture the natural beauty of this area. This exhibit will be up for the entire month of November in the Smart Community Room, and we encourage you to view it anytime the library is open.
Lillie Anderson is the featured artist in Sidney Library’s Smart Community Room for the month of October. Ms Anderson studied intensely at schools like the High School of Music and Art, and has continued to draw and paint ever since. Her recent work includes local landscapes, cityscapes, and interior scenes. We invite you to check out the exhibit anytime our library is open.
Megan Gray, a Sidney high school alumna and recent graduate of SUNY New Paltz, will display her senior thesis artwork in the Sidney Library’s Smart Community Room during the month of August. Megan’s exhibit is titled Geo Metric Schema which focuses on layering and patterns to create beautiful works of art.
We encourage you to stop in and view this exhibit anytime the library is open.
Heather Mowris is the featured artist in the Sidney Library’s Smart Community Room for the month of July. Her work covers many media, including pencil, colored pencil, mosaic, and acrylic painting. We encourage you to stop by and visit the exhibit any time our library is open.
During the month of June, the Smart Community Room will feature artwork by Scott and Brenda Wesley. Both artists, who are residents of Unadilla, work primarily in acrylic and mixed media. Stop in anytime the library is open to view their work.
This exhibit can be viewed beginning on June 5th.

Our featured exhibit in the Smart Community Room for the month of April is JoAnn Bertone Chmielowski. JoAnn’s nature photographs make use of reflections and unusual perspectives, and are paired with beautiful frames carved from local wood.
