Art Exhibit

Jason Sexton is our featured artist for the months of November and December. Please stop in the Smart Community Room to view his photography whenever the library is open.

Mosaic Winds

Mosaic Winds, a woodwind quintet from the Binghamton area, will perform in our Smart Community Room on Sunday November 1st at 1:30pm. The group is composed of musicians playing flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French Horn. Their musical styles include classical, folk, and jazz. Thank you to the Friends of the Libraries for sponsoring this event.

Holiday Sewing Workshop

Join us on Saturday, November 7th 2015 for a workshop hosted by the Sidney Library’s quilting group. Learn how to make a pillowcase with no raw edges – check out samples at our circulation desk. Anyone age 12 or older is invited to join us.

You will need to bring:

  • your sewing machine
  • choice of fabric
  • thread and a few other small items. (A complete list will be provided when you register)

The class is free but you must register in person at our circulation desk or by calling us at 563-1200.

Gift Box Workshop

Local crafter Pat Oertel will teach you how to create your own small gift / trinket boxes. This class has a $4 materials fee and you must bring a few small items such as scissors, a glue stick, and a round pencil. Registration is required – you can register in person at our circulation desk or by calling us at 563-1200.
