Art Exhibit

beginning March 3rd – Antique quilts will be on display during the month of March, courtesy of the Delaware County Historical Association. These beautiful quilts were all handmade between 1770-1916 and were all made locally. Please visit the exhibit, in our Smart Community Room, anytime the library is open.

Party of Two Musical Performance

A Party of Two is a performing duo of vocalist Judy Pitel and pianist Joanne Bertone Chmielowski. These talented ladies will perform music from the 1960’s and 70’s as well as some jazz standards on Sunday 3/1 at 1:30 pm (RESCHEDULED from 2/8). Join us in the Smart Community Room for this event – it’s sure to be a good time.

Calligraphy Workshop

Have you ever wanted to learn calligraphy, the beautiful hand-lettering seen on signs and invitations? Join Sidney Library staff member Joyce Neal on Sunday 3/15 from 2:00 – 3:30pm and learn the basics of calligraphy. The workshop is free but registration is required (online, call 563-1200, or in person at our circulation desk).

Energy Efficiency Presentation

Would you like some tips on how to save energy in your home? Energy specialist Michael D’Arcy will present about the NYS Research & Development Authority’s Home Performance with Energy Star program. Join us on Tuesday 3/17 at 6:30pm and learn more about lowering your energy bills.

Hearing Loss Program

Have you noticed that a friend or family member is missing parts of conversations or constantly turns the volume extremely loud? Would you like to learn more about hearing loss or hearing technology? Join certified audiologist Wayne Terry on Friday, 3/20 at 1:00pm as he shares the newest information on hearing loss and how to cope. Mr. Terry would also be happy to answer specific questions after the presentation.
