January and February bring new artwork to the library, in the form of equestrian photography. Ms. Amy Marron’s work will be on display in the Community Room for these two months. Please feel free to see the show anytime our library is open.
Healthy Children, Healthy Families Workshops
Every Wednesday from 6-7pm during January and February, Cornell Cooperative Extension will present a free workshop where you can learn strategies and ways to help your child as they grow. You will also receive healthy meal and snack ideas each week, and free small kitchen tools! Unlike our other programs, you should register for these workshops directly with CCE by calling 865-6531 or emailing email@example.com. These classes also count toward credit hours for daycare providers.
Learn how to a style of jewelry called chainmaille with Nicole Hubbard on Saturday, January 16th from 10 – 11:30am. Ms. Hubbard will teach you how to make your own box chain weave necklace. The cost of this workshop is $8 and requires you to bring two sets of jewelry pliers (or you can purchase them from the instructor). Register in person at the Sidney Library, or call us at 563-1200 to reserve your spot.
Save Energy, Save $$ Workshop
On Saturday, January 23rd from 10am – noon, attend this informative workshop and learn how to reduce your energy costs. Topics such as heating and cooling, hot water, appliances, and lighting will be discussed. This workshop is free but registration is required.
