Here are some exciting new activities we will host this summer:
- Tuesdays @ 6:00pm – Teen Tuesdays, an hour long program for teens going into grades 7-12
- Wednesdays @ 6:30pm – free family entertainment programs, including special guests
- Thursdays @ 1:00pm – family movies in our air conditioned Smart Community Room
- Thursday @ 3:00pm – Kids Make & Take, an hour long hands-on program for kids ages 5-12

All events are free. Register soon – Kids Make & Take and Teen Tuesdays are limited to 25 spaces each.
On Thursday, April 28th at 1:00pm, we will be showing the movie Goosebumps here at the Sidney Library. You can watch this PG-rated movie on the big screen in our Smart Community Room. The movie is described as follows: a teenager teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author, R.L. Stine, after the writer’s imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware.

Families are invited to a fun activity on Wednesday, April 6th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm in our Smart Community Room.
Why wait ’til Spring Break? Put on your flip-flops, grab your sunglasses, and come to the library for some beach-time fun! We will have story time with some beach-themed books. Then kids will have time to make sand art, dig for buried treasure, and do a craft activity.
Don’t forget to bring a towel to sit on!
On Friday, March 11th 2016 at 1pm, kids are invited to join us for a showing of the movie Hotel Transylvania 2. Join us in the Smart Community Room for this free event.
The movie is PG and features the voices of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, and Selena Gomez. All are welcome!
On Tuesday, February 16th at 1pm (a vacation day for Sidney students), we will show the movie Minions on the big screen in our Smart Community Room. Come join us for a fun, free event!
Winter is hard on birds, so it’s up to us to help them. That’s why we will be making bird feeders on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 from 2 – 3 pm in the Public Computing Center (PCC) downstairs in the library. School age kids are welcome to join us for this craft. (This is a half-day for Sidney students.)
Kids Club will follow at 3:30, and kids are welcome to stay and play Minecraft, use iPads, or have fun on the Smartboard.
Do you have a child who would like play time on some of our technology? Join us on Tuesday December 29th 2015 from 2-5pm for Fun and Games Day in the Public Computing Center. Kids ages 5 and up can play games such as ABC Mouse or Minecraft, use an iPad, play on the Wii, or try out our LEGO Mindstorms robot. We will also have puzzles, board games, and crafts to do.
Looking for something fun to do with your kids after Christmas? Join us on Monday, December 28th 2015 for two children’s movies that will be shown on the big screen.
Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 is a half day of school for Sidney students. Why not join us from 2 – 3:30pm for a fun craft activity? Kids of all ages can join us in the children’s area to make a holiday decoration. (All are invited to stay for LEGO time, which begins at 3:30.)
