The Sidney Library will have a limited supply of federal income tax forms and instructions in the near future. We will no longer have access to reproducible federal forms. This is due to the continued growth in electronic filing (e-filing) and the IRS’s attempt to reduce costs.
Don’t worry: there are ways to get any federal form or instruction packet. The IRS website, www.irs.gov, always has forms available for download. In addition, you can call and request forms be mailed to you. According to the IRS website:
You can call 1-800-TAX-FORM (800-829-3676) Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time to order current year forms, instructions and publications as well as prior year forms and instructions by mail. You will receive your order by mail, usually within 10 days.
We expect to have our regular supply of state income tax forms.
When the Sidney School District has a delay due to weather, the Sidney Library will still open at its regular time. On a day when the school day is canceled due to weather, the library will open at 11am.
School closings and delays are announced on WCDO radio, and are also listed on WBNG TV’s website. We will also try to keep you updated on our Facebook page.

November 1 – 7, 2015 is Fine Forgiveness week at the Sidney Library. Bring in non-perishable food items (one per overdue fine) and your fines will be forgiven. Please note that we can only forgive fines on Sidney Library books and media.
All donations will be given to the local food pantry. Examples of non-perishables include cereal, pasta, canned soup, canned tuna, or peanut butter. You can also click here, which lists items most needed at food pantries. This is a great way to take care of your library fines while helping your community!
