Rather than having a formal meeting, photography club will meet in the library parking lot this July & August, on the second Sunday of each month at 9:30am, to photograph on location with the support of experienced members when needed. New members are always welcome.

Mad Scientist Book Club 7/10

Thursday, July 10th at 6:30pm will be the first adult summer book club meeting, held in the Smart Community Room. The first topic is mad scientists, and readers are encouraged to read a book of their choice. A few ideas of mad scientist related books include:

Writers’ Group to Meet 4/28

Writers’ Group will meet in the Smart Community Room on Monday, April 28th at 6:30pm. New members are welcome to attend – no registration necessary.

Photo Club to Meet 4/7

Photo club, run by local photographer Thomas Hunter, will meet this Monday, April 7th at 6pm in the Smart Community Room. Thomas goes into great depth about the many functions of digital cameras, so this group is a great fit for both beginner and experienced photographers.

Author to Visit Library 4/5

Edgar-Award nominated author Shelly Reuben will visit the Sidney Library this Saturday, April 5th at 11:00 am. Her presentation is an interactive one – you should bring a pencil and notebook with you.

According to her website, Ms. Reuben is also a private detective and fire and arson investigator. Her new book, The Boys of Sabbath Street, is a mystery novel that was published in December 2013.

No registration is needed for this program.
