If you are in the library, be sure to visit the art exhibit being displayed in our Smart Community Room. We are honored to have Ms. Shirley Sherwood’s watercolor paintings on display. You can view her artwork anytime the library is open.
Our library staff will host a “campout” for kids and families on Wednesday July 20th, 2016 @ 6:30pm. Enjoy s’mores, campfire tales, and some tent building fun in our air-conditioned Smart Community Room. We hope to see you there!
Are you interested in drawing but don’t care for realism? Come learn an abstract method of drawing called zentangle on Saturday July 23rd, 2016 at 11:00am. Many people find it relaxing and it always results in beautiful images. All materials will be provided and you will leave with the skills to create your own zentangle.
This class is appropriate for adults and children ages 12 and up.

The Friends of the Libraries are hosting their monthly book discussion group on Tuesday July 19th, 2016 at 11:30am. This month’s read is In the Unlikely Event by Judy Blume. All are welcome!
Families are invited to join us for the wonderful group Tom Knight Puppets, who will perform on Wednesday, July 13th 2016 at 6:30pm. Join us in the Smart Community Room for this free program.

In conjunction with our adult summer reading program “Exercise Your Body & Mind”, the Sidney Library is offering a Bingo game. Pick up the Bingo sheet in our library near the adult fiction books. Once you complete 5 activities that challenge you to try something new to improve your physical or mental health, return the sheet to the library and be entered to win a raffle.
Join us for the big kickoff event for the 2016 Kids Summer Reading Program: “Ready, Get Set, Read”. On Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 at 6:30pm, families are invited to join us in the Smart Community Room for activities, games, and a snack while you learn about what we have to offer this summer.
