News and information from Oxford Memorial Library

Our Community Room construction is underway and almost completed! Pictured above is the official Ground Breaking Ceremony on April 23, 2009. Pictured are Senator Tom Libous; Board Trustees Marian Godfrey, Matt Voce, Christine Gregoire, and Bill Troxell; Oxford Library Director Nancy Wilcox; 4CLS Executive Director David Karre; NBT Oxford Branch Manager Tahitian Finch; and Rod Decker from Cliff Crouch's office. As of the end of May, the foundation has been poured and readied for the support beams to be put into place. From there, fill will be placed around the foundation and the walls will be erected. The construction should be complete by the end of 2009.

Start-up funding for the Phase 3 construction has been generously provided by a $75,000 allocation from Senator Tom Libous. We currently need to raise about $50,000 more to complete the exterior renovations that are associated with the Phase 3 construction. Donations may be made by mailing a check to the library, or dropping one off in person at the Library or the NBT Bank in Oxford.
