New Berlin Library Board Meeting Minutes for November 27,\n2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in attendance: Michelle Priola, Director<\/p>\n\n\n\n

George Anderson calls the meeting to order at 6:02 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bills: <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bills passed around to Board members and signed. Darla made a\nmotion to approve October and November bills seconded by Lynn\nLaValley. Motion passes 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tabled until next meeting. Awaiting secretary to send out minutes.\n \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer’s Report: <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna Wells explained balance sheet and CDs. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion to approve 2020 budget made by George Anderson seconded by\nAlan Fairbrother. Motion Passed 5-0. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion made to move January 1 payroll to December 31 made by Darla\nSmith seconded by Alan Fairbrother. Motion passed 5-0. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion made to increase payroll for Richard Fallis and Michelle\nPriola made by Darla Smith and seconded by Alan Fairbrother . Motion\npassed 5-0. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle Nagiewicz \u2013 8<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jill Robinson \u2013 15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angelica Schmidt \u2013 31<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darla Smith \u2013 30<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angelica Schmidt and Darla Smith won a five year term each and\nJill Robinson won a three year term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director’s Report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle asked to donate 50-60 children picture books that were\nreceived free to the library to the Village of New Berlin Christmas\nparty as Santa gifts. Approved by consensus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle expressed a need for an outdoor outlet and received an\nestimate for the work in the amount of $140. Motion made by Donna\nWells and seconded by Darla Smith. Motion passed 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussion on floor repair progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The village asked Michelle to teach Sexual Harassment Prevention\nTraining class on December 5 @ 9 AM. Approved by consensus. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organization meeting and Sexual Harassment scheduled for January 8\nat 5 pm. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas Tea scheduled for December 14 at 2 pm with Joe Lombardi\nperforming for $100. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussion on front door. Hold on final payment of $600 until he\nfixes door color in the spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Return receipt received from the certified letter removing Lori\nWilson from board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle told the board that library clerk, Linda Fowlston will be\nout of work due to surgery starting on January 24 and lasting 4-8\nweeks. The staff will be covering her shifts. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
