New Berlin Library Board Meeting Minutes for May 30th 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In attendance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

George Anderson, President<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darla Smith, Vice President<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna Wells, Treasurer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angelica Schmidt, Secretary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynn LaValley, Trustee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lori Wilson, Trustee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in attendance: Michelle Priola, Director<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start time: 6:00 End Time: 6:57 pm <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

George Anderson calls the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

April and May Bills: <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bills passed around to Board members and signed. Darla made a\nmotion to approve February and March bills seconded by Donna Wells\nmotion passes 6-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer’s Report: <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna Wells reviews the balance sheet as of February 28, 2019 as\nwell as the Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual sheets from January\nthrough February 28, 2019 . Donna further explained the staggering of\nthe CDs and their interest rates. Motion made to pay Serv Pro\ninsurance deductible made by Darla Smith and seconded by George\nAnderson, passed 6-0. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director’s Report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle discussed the 3 grant checks that were receive this month\ntotaling $1615 and the projects started to fulfill the obligations\nassociated with each of the grants. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle and Renee will be having a booth at the Family Fun and\nHealthy Living Night at UV on 3\/29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The May book sale is canceled and the decision to hold a book sale\nthis year will be re-evaluated in the fall. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussed the Summer Reading Program and the theme \u201cA Universe\nof Stories\u201d. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 20 is canceled due to library\nrepairs. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perkins Performance Series update was given and signed performers\nreviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sexual Harassment training requirement was discussed. Online\ntraining information is going to be shared by Lynn LaValley and\ninvestigated by Donna Wells. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colorscape Art class to be taught by Lori Wilson at the library\ndiscussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Tea is still being held on 5\/4 at 2 pm. Flowers were\nordered from Perfect Solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the Synergy Group from UV to help with the Baby Room\nrenovations was discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Increasing checkout limits for books from 10 to 20 was discussed. \nMotion made by Lynn LaValley and seconded by Donna Wells, motion\npassed 6-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radiator Insurance claim update given (see attached report). \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
