The Morris Library Kid’s Club is a special club where kids of all ages can be creative and imaginative while learning new things through stories. Each Wednesday children will be introduced to a new story and craft. Due to COVID our regular in house meetings have been changed to live Facebook videos every Wednesday at 2 PM. Attendees are encouraged to interact in the comments of the videos. All of the books used will be posted with each video. We love hearing from our group members! You can “like” our Facebook page and tag us (@morrislibrarykidsbookclub) in posts!
For the month of December we will have two Christmas Elves that will be taking over Kid’s Club! The joyful little things (Joy and Phil) will be doing daily activity posts and Facebook stories. While the elves are with us we will post two live meetings each week; one on Wednesdays staring at 2pm and one on Saturdays also starting at 2pm.
Kid’s Book Club visited Ancient Egypt with the third Magic Tree House book, Mummies in the Morning, and created scratch art magnets.
For the Kid’s Book Club’s third meeting participants discussed the second Magic Tree House book, The Knight at Dawn, and colored paper castle hats.
Kid’s created dinosaur dioramas at the second Kid’s Book Club meeting.
Our first meeting of Kid’s Book Club included a discussion about the Magic Tree House book “Dinosaurs Before Dark” and a mini dinosaur bone dig. Each participant unearthed a tiny dinosaur skeleton to take home!
