FOVL Sunday Speaker Series, 2/21/21, 3-4pm: The Legacy of Women Artists in Our Area

The Friends of the Village Library Sunday Speaker Series continues on Sunday, February 21, with a panel discussion about “The Legacy of Women Artists in Our Area.” The discussion will be moderated by Carrie Mae Smith, artist and instructor at SUNY Oneonta. Panelists include regional artists Christine Heller and Janet Wentworth, and gallerist Sydney Waller. Panelists will introduce the rich history of several women artists of the Leatherstocking area and the significant impacts they had on our communities. They will discuss their personal connections with Lisa Rodewald, Susan Cooper Weil, Sondra Freckleton, and Marguerite Standish Cockett, as well as the art works these women created.
